mentioned that ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management System certification aims at
identifying energy intensive processes and adapt appropriate technological
measures to reduce the specific energy consumption. With the certification, NALCO
has achieved a distinct milestone in the non-ferrous segment that further
strengthens company’s intention for pursuing Green Initiatives. Apart from
meeting and exceeding the provisions of the standard, these initiatives will
also enable the company in achieving the targets set by the Ministry of Energy
in Aluminium segment.
