Bhubaneswar: In a major relief to the steel plant in Odisha which do not have captive mines, Odisha high court today uphold state government's decision to sell 50 percent of produced iron ore to steel company. In 2012 Odisha government issue a circular for the iron ore mines which have no plant in stae to sell atleast half of their production to steel plant in Odisha which have no mines. State's decision were not well accepted by the mining companies. They appeal to center to revoke the circular of Odisha government. After deliberating with mining officials center told Odisha to revoke the circular in 2014 february. But Odisha denied it. Then mining companies were filed a case in high court. In today's hearing high court uphold the state governemnet's decision. High court derected odisha government to execute the circular. Mining companies in Odisha with no plant now have to sell their 50 percent production of iron ore to non mining steel plant and rest sold to other firm in and out of Odisha.
